World at Loss

Sometimes I wonder whether it is me who has it all wrong,
Do I feel correctly?
Have I denied myself of all that is real and true,
Have I become so cold that I cannot recognise between what is right and wrong
This coldness mirrors my heart,
Having had stolen all that was love from youth,
Of course my heart would not blink at the sight of affection
Its like i’ve become numb wholly,
My body an ice box,
I try to feel, try to understand
but I am far from understanding,
I am a foreigner in my own Land,
maybe this isn’t my Land,
Maybe I am made from the next world,
and I am teaching myself to adjust,
to numb out the coldness,
The way we interact now is dangerous,
A disconnect between humans,
some people don’t want to listen,
some people only want to stay rigid in their views, their philosiphies,
just take a moment to breathe, to listen,
open your damn mind,
We are becoming cold human boxes,
We are not human anymore,
there is nothing humane about us any longer,
The Prophets, and the spirits told us of a time like this,
That a time like this was coming,
That people would run from the Land of Babylon,
That they would have monsters riding up and down our streets
Now the time has come,
All havoc let loose.

Truly this World is at loss.
