off-shore drift

my body is stuck in motion,
on a split moment in time,
cannot neutralise,
or verbalise what lays in my pumping blood,
jumping from cement to water,
it seems everything is running in this stream of water,
and I am floating away on this boat,
no hold on the tide,
or guidance of where I am going,
I trust the moon to guide the sea beneath me,
pulling me closer to where I should lay,
resting my head is not to sleep,
It only seems to bring better days ahead,
but I feel rushed,
playing with the winds,
I do not have time to think about the bad anymore,
do not have time to worry or be sickened,
guilty waters don’t plague me,
they can lay in it in their own will,
but I still need time to process,
time to adjust my compass,
a break would bring me clarity,
solitude in my thoughts,
but even in my solitude comes fear,
in my fear I crave solitude,
I want to focus on myself,
yet I flourish in surrounding myself with love,
I need time to just breathe.

breath,
I should work on breathing.
