to feel, to engulf, to engorge,
to immerse yourself with,
to fortify, to express, to amalgamate,
I feel to set myself free,
to evoke an emotion and to be present throughout its unravelling,
a cord curled until the tension is too much,
a rare occurence it seems,
people run,
I stay, present, swim
I read further than surface level, I do not just do,
I react and act until all senses are present,
Until I pour quartets of myself into what is right,
I do not hide, I do not withdraw,
I stand, take the hits, endure what I can,
then when the time is ready,
and my lines are drawn,
I depart.
For them I am too much,
eyes lusting for life,
mouth hungry for lust, for love,
I desire what I have always never felt,
A thirst for living I cannot quench,
They are just sheeps, ruled by shephards who they neither agree with or support,
They live according to bookshelves, fitted one next to the other,
All accordance to alphabet, colours, straight lines,
I am the vowels that make up the alphabet,
Or maybe it makes me the space between the words,
between each sentence, I am the elipses,
the break, the breath of fresh air, to take just a moment,
I am the cursive, bent in all the wrong words, wrong ways,
I am the epitome of ‘I’,
I am Me,
I am the Black Bird who they stay away from,
The Jaguar, that runs after its prey,
Taking charge of the Jungle,
Running after what I desire,
I am the Elephant, heavy footed, taking time to feel my feet,
the earth harsh in its reaction to its owner,
or rather its anger as a parent,
I am the Wolf,
the sinner, one of the pack, observing, howling in anguish,
Ravishing, satisfied in my find,
A Wild Woman.
The world chases me, and I chase it,
A Cry heard from all seven heavens,
For I am not meant to be this earth,
Only a lesson to be learnt,
and to be present in learning
