For J.

it is funny,
because I have not forgotten about him,
he still passes through my mind in his boat,
sometimes waving, sometimes skating,
I wonder whether the colour of him will erase from my memory,
does love ever die?
Even if it is wrong for you?
Is it like a yearning we cannot undo?
What will it it take to forget?
I am working great efforts to remain rooted,
to remind me of the Goddess which lives inside,
I could never betray her,
Understand and laugh at the relationship,
Yet I still think of him often,
It is one sided surely,
this is a form of madness is it not?
It does not have a burning tinge any longer,
just soft cushions place themselves in my headspace,
I wonder if he ever thinks of me,
his hands playing with my palms,
fruit lying on my chest,
I miss the passion fruits,
the Pomelos,

Yet when subjected to him,
Cannot utter a word,
cannot even look in his eye,
Its as if I become mute,
Frozen,
Cannot let him have a free pass,
Cannot give him the honour to befriend me,
I will let you mature like a fire wine,
maybe one day,
you will know what coffee coloured, date filled woman you lost,
because God knows,
I miss your beauty,
but it seems that and your touch are the only things I miss,

Not your words,
Not your arguments,
not your irrationality,
your broken heart,
your insecurities,
your constant need to bring me down,
your inability to see me,
your inability to know me,
your constant struggle of loving me,

but its okay,
because we are not one any longer.
