My body is a blossoming phoenix,
Hibernating for the past year amongst darkness
Her layers are being shed,
Stripped at thought by thought
Picking all the thorns placed so deep within skin
The words I used to describe her kept her stuck underwater,
I continued to drown her in the pains she endured,
I reignited the pain as it came up, made it into a living storytelling
The resurrection of my soul,
Now healing,
I try to feed her in emotional sustenance,
Wheat, flour, barley,
Keep her dry, stop the tap from running,
Moisten her tongue with lavender, and lemons,
Keep it sweet,
My body was a flood,
The vehicle I walked with had its organs drowned,
Heart was removed, yet caused turmoil,
I wonder if all abused, unloved, unfed children are so weak,
Or is it my geneticd that makes us die so young?
I won’t reproduce because of this.
I will nourish my home,
With Mangoes, kiwis and atolle,
Plant and bury deep new seeds of thoughts,
Challenge beyond my flesh,
My harmonious struggle of heinous memories and aching bodies
I will push until I destroy every last negative word out of me
I will unpick the glass she left in my skin
Replace all harm with warmth
Immense honey conjoining with my blood,.
I will sleep in silk, amongst caves where wolves live in,
I will have to bleed and let go,
Homes are made of love.
You make them, you can choose.
I will continue to pick out the thorns
Push, until I cannot any longer
