Shifts occur,
but nothing prepared me for this Hurricane,
That blew over Winter,
and Vanished,
leaving a Village damaged,
with nothing to say for itself,
my body was a Battleground,
when She, my fellow sister,
through a Knife in my back,
left me bloody,
after Fleeing me,
at the Unknown Door of Death,
I chose tranquility because the Cancer was near,
Yet she chose this,
After all this time,
I did not know there was this Face she wore,
This mask,
So unfamiliar,
no,
so unimaginable,
unrecognizable,
and so Wretched,
It is like having my eyes burnt,
this has Tainted my understanding of Closeness,
After months today, I cried,
but I can’t figure out what for,
This is unfathomable,
I numbed myself,
because my brain cannot compute,
Now we sit,
amongst Grass and Blankets,
and I can’t even look at her,
my body feels unsafe and under attack,
this is an unfinished horror.
