They have Flocked to me,
Like Birds Migrating,
This time I Feel them,
Foreign yet Familiar
I had forgotten their Wings that had been holding me this whole time,
Travelling underneath my Body,
Over me, above me,
Beneath my Skin,
Didn’t know of their faces, nor Space in my Life
Their eyes in every crevasse of Cloud,
Watching Mw,
Me,Unaware of their forms and Shapes,
the Living in the Unseen,
I just know, now,
that their Hymns triumph through my Body,
Holding the Tapestries of my Life up,
With Pins,
Holding each frame, each Sky, at different angles,
at different points,
Cut and joined through Stars,
Markers rung over Moonlight,
Rainbows piercing through planes,
through Black Holes,
where my time is Absent,
Stuck,
When I am Lost,
the lineages of the Unseen,
I don’t know how many Beings are upon my Back,
Who’s Bones hold up my Story,
Who Sold , which parts of themselves, to make Up this Body,
I wear them as Constellations scattered across my Skin,
Marking Me,
Their prints, and memories to Declare their Existence,
Even if they were Destroyed Out,
in the Name of Respect,
in the Name of Silence,
in the Name of Brown Body,
Dance, Fight, Protection, as Prayer,
Sensual, Belly Loose,
Hips heavy, swinging,
from having weight pushed upon Them,
Estranged,
Through the generations of Souls trying to find their Homes,
For the Planes they existed in, did not allow Safety for Self,
for Wholeness of Being,
Only in Parts,
So now,
Hurling through Me are their Deaths and Births,
Premonitions, and Surprises,
A Container, held and Welcomed,
Even in its Unknown,
My Chariot,
Glorious,
Praises be upon Thee, mnBody who has lived through so Much,
Who withstood,
Immigrated, Fleed,
Exiled,
Dissociated,
Died,
and then was Demanded Back
Body of Mine,
Still remained here,
Loyal,
Trusting,
Even when we had given Her Up,
When I had found my Burial Ground in the Cemetery,
Had dug up Earth,
and Smeared Soil in mY Eyes
When I had performed Ghusl upon my Self,
and Wrapped myself up in Ihram,
Sweet Chariot of Mine stood,
She Died and Came Back,
With a Heart that Somhow still Believed,
Now the Heart Beams like Laser,
Cutting through all Dimensions,
All Planes of Existence,
Seen and Unseen,
Alchemy of Past,
transmuting through Tongue,
onto this very Paper,
Into Voice,
and Even in my Silences,
then I Remember,
I Remember,
I remember,
They always were Blessing Me,
They held up eveey Picture Frame,
They paint the backgrounds to my Days,
The foreground in Flirt and Guavas,
Watching,
Even Whilst I colllapsed into Myself,
They were there,
Even, when body broke into Self,
Molesting self,
Body engulfed from the Torture that tore me inside Out,
Yet,
Yet
They were there,
Body Rosw,
As they Painted Polish over my Days,
Pushed me to my Centre
Watching me Relearn how to Love,
And in this Kiss,
This Affection,
All You are Allowed to See,
and Can See, is
Is,
Their Royalty resting itself upon my Skin,
My Eyes, Wearing their Eyes,
Lakes upon which you Drown In,
Their Stories, my Stories,
Our Stories,
In which we share Full Lips,
Like Flowers,
Honey dripping from Tongues,
Our tongues Kissing
Their Tongues fighting into my Reality,
You only See the Edges
I Know of the Believers in my Blood.
I know of the Rooh* burning inside of me,
Like a biofluorescent Heart,
Beating, engorging, contracting,
Breathing,
In the Name and Beauty of Love,
For if Not this, then What?
I forgot.
That I had been kissed me so many times upon my Forehead,
By Them.
