on the Marking day of your Death,
I honour you,
and your effervescent presence,
These Chambers that keep giving,
All this, Remembrance,
this Learning,
Of Love.
My Fertile mind, flirting with Life,
The Soil,
rich in You.
Rich in your Embrace,
Rooted in Memories, and your Smell,
I remember how the Home was draped in Prayers and Flowers,
Blooming,
A layer of protection,
And Beauty,
With Spices that filled Kitchens,
Fed all Mouths, big and small,
You Loved wholely, generously, in Alms.
You gave me Life, Ama.
You gave me Life,
When mine was Gone.
