I rememeber the torture of the world,
like the back of my hand,
like the map of the road to my house,
like the way I know my way around my room,
I know this feeling of currents running through me,
tougher and tougher,
like fires and daggers raging,

I remember them saying it
“he isn’t going to make it Ameera”,
my body collapsed,
they grabbed hold of me,
by my arms,
I fell to the floor,
I screamed,
They didnt understand when I said
” how am I going to live without him”
Didn’t realise what torture was going on at home,
Didn’t realise that he was my saviour,
from 5pm to the following morning,
I had respite from Lucifer,
in my own home,
I prayed.
