The children of silk grow on trees
Looking down from forest top over cities they built ,
I find myself rattling in the lies they told to me,
Peace should come from this, they said,
Yet I am far furthest from peace?
I thought this was hopeful, optimistic,
But this raging tyrant inside of me continues to grow hungry,
Restless,
There should be more? No?
A night of opera on display,
Consumerism on Christmas Eve
Where harmonies are sung from fighting tongues,
Cash thrown as if strippers were dancing for theirs lives,
Poles only separating lunacy and lust,
I juice together lemon with honey,
The bittersweet taste of this marriage in my mouth,
Where do I stand amongst all of this,
Cold times call for inner heat,
Must I look to the planets?
I watch how they swarm together,
Like bees to hive,
Finding warmth on winter days,
To belong, together
with faces painted in smiles,
Yet I stand as one,
A one man army,
Not belonging or finding comfort in what is around me,
Is it the Sun?
This game of hide and seek leaves me in dismay,
My blood cannot be charged,
The fire has gone,
And I am left with no power in my hands,
A soldier amongst none,
Lunatic I must be,
With a dancer in my step,
Devil tendencies, dressed in white,
With gold around her ankles,
A body adorned in holy water,
Long black hair billowing,
A Woman,
A Wild Woman.. I am
