The coffin.
The coffin sits there
In dark oak, whispering
Weeping are those around the coffin
For the man in white who lays
Within the 6 feet long piece of wood
Ready to go 6 feet under
Ready to begin the real test
The test of life,
Where the questions will be asked
And you will see a light
Not one of this world.
but of the next
Uth jaag musafir..
Its a strange thing death.
Something we all are promised
Yet we all pretend that we too will escape the kiss that will take our soul
Dont you forget where you came from
And where you are headed
From the womb to the tomb
Oh my people dont you forget
And thw irony of it all
Whether you have lived a life of righteousness,
Or whether you have lived a life of suffering, torturing
When you leave this world
And you hear the shrieks of those who love you above ground
Prayers being uttered, chanted
In hope to let you recover
But you habe already seen the light
And god is taking you to the next world
Do you not understand
That whether you are a King or a Slave
We all will end up in a coffin
In a pure white cloth
Covering us from head to toe
A place where we are silenced
And questioned by those in a Higher place
While we listen to tbs shrieks and stories above ground
Of those who may have once loved us
Coffins, coffee, and qurans
Now are passed around the table
Duas being recitated upon the tongues on those who are righteous
And tears leak of those who once loved
Or of those who now remember where we are going
Don’t you forget child
This place is for travellers
We were not promised anything in this life except death
What made you think otherwise?
