Displaced

I feel displaced,
Especially during the holidays I realise how displaced I am
No home to go to, I find my home to be where I am
But you have to understand see I have no home,
I am not wanted where I’m from
and I find myself conflicted,
because I love the city, and I come from water
but I cannot go back,
but yet I drown myself and find myself yearning for Water
I am displaced

I am displaced from my own community,
my skin wanted to bleed away from my body,
I found myself raking off the colour to fit in,
to fit into a community that doesnt want me
A religion which loves each other so purely is where I found home,
but now I find myself further and further away from God each day
and he’s right at my jugular
hes closer than my jugular, yet I still find myself running
I still find myself so displaced.

The holidays make me realise how alone I truly am.
That I have no home to go back to.
That I am just a mere loner in this world
