Explaining Depression

Tumbling,
Through the epicentre of pain,
Whilst it pierces me,
In its alienation,
There is a void,
In this numbness,

Like a forceful cloud above my temples,
The forecast is set for thunder,
Light,
Catalyzed from dark to darker,
My mind has dimmed in its colour,
The magic has subsided,
I thought I had reignited the start up,
Fought until the fire had lit,
Yet I am back,
Lighting firewood that is wet,
On muddy ground,
Winter is coming,
& I am Leaving,

This year was collosal,
I was spun,
Like a rag doll in directions,
Pinned in all body parts,
Stretched and stripped in all my fragility
Voodoo whispered over me,
Nothing made sense,

I believe in nothing anymore,
My own body, written in cursive,
Unexplicable by professionals,
So I lean to the plant kingdom
Foreign, again
Unexplicable,
I,
Alone,
In the brutality that comes with my genetics,
A horror show,

The Tornado came,
Swept me off my feet,
Lucrative,
Done silently,
In my own home,
I was alone in a full house,
My insides a melting pot of anxiety,

Now,
I’ve found myself back here,
In all the layers of darkness,
In the way my mind lies to me,
or is this my Truth,
this familiarity,
The smell of death near,
A want returned,
An ending that never stops,
Can’t leave but stuck in limbo,
Sometimes it leaves, for several seasons,
But just like the Winter,
it Comes and stays,
Until it’s all over again..
