To the One who Lies with her Smile
Dear Eternal Optimist,
My shining warrior through my childhood,
The one who created light when there was dark,
the one who I would cling onto,
like a child clings onto their mother,
As a child saving every breath on the phone, just to talk
Make sure every second of the call would last,
Because you were once my saviour
The one who created light when their was dark
We used to ink it into papers,
used to create a life escape for me
When you didn’t know what was being hurled at me in my own home
Me not knowing what was being hurled at you in your own home,
We both mimic each other in ways,
the letters created a fantasy land where all was good
All was normal,
You created a fantasy land for me where a normal one never existed,
You found your ways in my life when noone else would,
Made me believe it was fine for a very long time
I too have watched you suffer,
my God,
since I was a child,
always knowing you were suffering
never understood the logistics of being able to rescue someone
but even now, even to this day
if I could just fix you,
save you,
Heal you instance, oh how I wish I could
More than I would see my own father some say
My wish would be to see you with all that you want,
With all that you have Desired in Life
All that you never recieved
A day, a week, a Year
in a life of Nergis
The woman of Wonders,
The eternal Optimist who lies,
with her smile so bright
Behind that smile lies a broken soul,
But a fiery one,
Now going on “30”,
we bring out candles and cakes,
and love and joy, and normality
for the one who deserves it most,
and we both have changed as people
but One never forgets when someone saves your life
One never forgets when you have foraged through hell to get someone back
you were my escape fantasy land,
You made my life normal
and my God
Words cannot comprehend how Thankful I am
