trinkets of light seem to be pouring from the sky,
clouds used to be etched in scars
knitted within them minature homes for lost souls to live in,
a place where God’s kingdom can be seen overhead,
so glowing honey is dripped over into this part of the sky,
a place for those who are both absent in body and heart,
who have not lived and neither learnt,
a place where abandoned children go to stay,,
I’ve noticed how adults never take the blame for their wrongdoings,
parents rupture up children into chokeholds,
find their kids bleeding from necks and feet,
and ask what went wrong,
Not seeing their hands are covered in red,
Their own hearts weighted down in steel,
A seal over their own burning soul,
locks in crypts, never picked at,
Passed down from generations left unhealed,
so I watch, and I see,
how bodies disentegrate into feather like states,
how hearts fall like mountains,
with rubble pouring from mouths as if to purge,
The purge begins to unleash into child,
Child dies from loss of love,
But see,
the beauty begins once more,
When child finds himself in cloud,
in Kingdom come,
where he finds himself rebuilding,
reconnecting the dots where things once went wrong,
to pick up the glass shards once thrown at him, and to form a fountain,
to have water gushing,
fluidly in love,
the ecstasy one feels when finding life once more,
I cannot explain to you,
or try to encapsulate in phonetics,
what ecstasy I breathe now,
the pleasure to live in this life intoxicates my every breath,
to feel, to touch, to understand,
the right to eat, the right to be, the right to know, the right to speak,
all new territory,
like roaming in new grass,
an animal in foreign field,
yet it seems so familiar,
so now I am in love with life,
with you not here Ama, I struggle to enjoy it as much,
for what is the point?
if not to share with you?
my Beloved,
the woman who loved me as a Mother, Father and Friend,
when I had none.
