Lemon Cake

lemons,
with honey now trickle my tongue,
a refreshing delight,
of purging through water,
the water has been a blessing,
the rain has not been a sin,
only a cleansing of sorts,
of letting go,
a spring cleaning of the mind,
mental hygiene,

I rejoice,
gratitude spewing off my tongue,
as if summer had arrived early,
mendhi parading my hands,
pirhouetting between the maps of my arms,
veins, seem to be pumping less hard now,
there is ease,
the hardest part of healing is almost over,
I have managed to dispose off and diffuse the biggest pains,
let go of those that hurt me,
my heart has no noose on it any more,
it is not a war ground,
there is nothing dead inside of me anymore,
only blankets of love,
I do not speak in judgement, I do not speak from aggression,
I do speak from passvity, I do speak from lies,
I do not speak from broken torn soul, I never speak from pity,
I listen now, question,
I love now,

Spring will be coming,
But first the rain will continue to pour over me,
I will swim,
I will cultivate the soil,
Turning over the dead,
Then seeds will be sewn.
