an abyss,
of both body and light,
of creation and death,
a magnitude of emotion,
resentment,
tongue twisted in ways never done before,
choked at the throat,

at how sad, yet miraculous life is,

they will build you towers in paradise,
have your hair swinging from tree tops,
call you names like,
pear and sweet almond,
plum and rose water diamonds,
but you run child,
make sure you don’t listen to the whisperers in the night,
they come with gifts laid in shiny palms,
you run,
just don’t hide.
