claws find themselves twisting the little ends of my astrocytes
like stars you have found to appear even in the brightest of nights,
the inside of my eyes now a maze,
zig zag, jolt across the harmonies that drift me into sleep,
why do you come to harm me?
even with my eyes closed,
who let you enter the gates of my heaven?
finding safe spaces in this other world,
the escapsim,
yet you come haunt me,
come lay your fingers into my orbs,
my temples your keyboard,
making me scream in my sleep through touch,

gasping now,
I wake up agitated,
Some nights you kill me,
like you did before,
Some nights I pretend nothing happened,

for I know God is with me.
