a single breath,
pause,
to freedom,
to momentary silence,
energy striving through to reach its height,
collective rhetoric to spin on axis’s,
which are not meant to be spun,
180 degrees on a single point,
the art of flipping coins,
but in this case emotions,
how I shook from one state to another,
alchemy would lead to the grandeur of transmutation,
would have led to lead being turned to gold,
it seems as though I have slowed down in process,
I am now ready for wave two of healing,
ready to enter the second gate lined in poison,
A door with its handle shaped as a hand reached out to me,
not nervous to open the door,
but awaiting to take the second step,
realisation was the first shock,
The screaming in my back caused the movement,
every nerve contracted from the repression of expression,
Medusa has launched her face into my back,
Her hair, my screaming nerves,
eyes apple green, gleaming,
but with autumns red, bleeding from them,
you can even feel her anger,
Teeth marks sunk into spine,
each rib a landmark for growth,
now I want needles in places of the blockages,
a warm hand vibrating over where it hurts,
the hurt located directly over the back of my heart,
the alternate side where ashes go into storage,
building up to form a grave yard,
where I leave flowers everyday,
and yes seeds may grow even in ash,
but I wish to wash away the dirt,
I try to keep my fathers gravestone clean,
but yet my own is covered in weeds,
flowers slowly wilting, others blooming,
but medusa’s snakes seem to crawl in,
and start to suffocate and wrap themselves around arteries,
I wish to stand tall again,
my breath is cut into platelets,
half rhythm, out of line,
a dJ could never follow the beat,
I pray upon the universe,
Please,
For my shoulder blades, where my wings have been torn want to fly again.
Please,
let me fly again.
