Sadness is multifaceted,
Its a mask I wear,
A book within my eyes,
My crippled smile,
Yet rose throbbing heart,
I am the broken seed,
Ripped through the epicentre,
The only way to grow is upwards,
So I force myself through the dirt, like a plant,
Blooming when the Sun forces a smile on to me,
We forget the faces of loneliness sometimes,
The mirrors do not reflect what is hidden,
A clown can be seen staring back,
Laughter being echoed, flowers for tongues,
A smile knitted into the cheeks
Whilst drowning in this season of cold,
Most forget that we are endangered,
A species that will become extinct very soon
There are some who spend the holidays alone,
Searching for solace in the cities lights,
and the knives that lay in their kitchen drawers,
Whilst others bury themselves in the chittar chatter,
Of bustling family homes and meat on tables,
I am a seed,
Embedded deep into this earth,
A fruit berry tree will soon blossom,
I will set myself free,
God will forgive me.
