The Loss

When they take,
Its as if my hair is being yanked,
Pulled a little,
The body follows,
Pointed like a ballerina,
Like the smoke emitting from a candle,
How it merges into the surrounding,
A bit of my being feels like it’s been stolen,
Without permission,
Yet,
Yet this wasn’t taking,
I gave,
With open hands,
I offered with my hands cupped,
I wanted to take a bite myself,
Rosewater showered over me,
I threw fireworks,
Launched light into the hair,
Electrified the sky,
The skin,
The ebb and flow,
Of rivers, combining,
I chose,

On Reflection,
My insides are not in peace,
There is a disrespect that has arisen,
The angry wolf has awoken,
There is no silencing her,
The wrong Witch has been fucked with,
This is a Loss,
But a Lesson learnt,
Vulnerability,
A Gift and a Curse
