Torment me now,
Sinner,
Dig my grave for me above water
Make it so I gasp,
from every sense
from every breath I skip,
Make it so that when the lights have gone out
I see pictures of heaven rather than your hands over my neck,,
The long trail of stars that fill the insides of my eyes when I am forced to fall asleep
Make me question my own doings
Make me second guess whether the flowers are watered,
Let me breathe fresh water again
Oh wrongdoer,
Do you know what makes a sinner sin?
Is it the devils whisper humming into your ears like hymns,
Is it the way they hide under the nails of your fingers
Gifting my skin with a litter of marks?
What is it about a sinners way of working that make them sin so graciously?
Is it the way they cloak themselves in a tapestry of pride
Claiming lives as they stride through streets,
Is it the way she swallows me whole in her filthy blood?
How can she tell me that I should not pray to God,
When she is the epitome of Lucifer himself,
Oh wrongdoer it seems now
I, have found solace in the sea that almost broke me
But now Broken I find myself wishing I had drowned
That I too had sunk to the depths of your feet when given bounties
I, treated you like an Angel
Make my wings sin again
Make me feel like a child again
Torment me now
Sinner,
How does it feel to lose all three of your children,
have them torn from your hands,
but it seemed like we walked here,
seems like we’ve been crawling in what seems like a lifetime
Maybe this life was much not worth living.
Mottling between these allotted time spans.
Seconds making minutes making days…
One day at a time, just one day at a time
echoed back at me.
But the hours would tick by.
Timing running faster, but not fast enough.
Choking towards the only light left.
Not knowing it was not yet mine.
Dear Sinner,
Torment me Now,
Pray for my body to be laid rest, in peace,
under ground,
for your womb was never my home,
only shredded pieces of calamaties and tragedies
my brothers bodies with broken jolted backs,
with daggers for eyes,
and soft hearts resting on lips to love
now they too lay bathing in bodies,
with heads just above the water
to gasp,
in bubbles of air,
to breathe again
Let me Sin,
Sinner
Let me become like you,
Maybe then I will have a token of your heart.
